The Editor-in-Chief of Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jr., has criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his recent comments, claiming that they are stirring up public anger and fomenting divisiveness.
Mr Platt’s criticism follows President Akufo-Addo’s remarks made during a campaign event for New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidates in the Ejisu by-election.
President Akufo-Addo urged voters to support NPP candidates, suggesting that only NPP MPs can effectively advocate for the development of their constituencies during his term in office.
However, Kwesi Pratt expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, “When I came here this morning, I heard my friend and brother, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, saying that if you do something like that, you will destroy people. It’s sad because it’s going to make people angry.” ”
Platt’s statement continued: “Nana Akufo-Addo went to Ejisu to campaign for NPP candidates and said that he would approve all roads in the country before they are built.” What does that mean? Does that mean that road construction is not permitted in all areas where there are no good roads? What a statement! ”
“Plus,” Pratt added. “He said he is the president of the NPP, and Nana Akufo-Addo is telling us today that he is the president of the NPP, so if you want your constituency to develop, the NPP Please vote for people. Only members can consult with the president about development.”
“I thought he was guiding us all as president, and it’s unfortunate that he ended up being the president of a political party.”
