A delegation sent to Yagbonwura’s palace to raise the case of Damongo State MP Samuel Abu Jinapor failed to make headway on its first visit to address concerns over interference in the chief’s authority.
According to 3News, Yagbonwura Biyi Knut Soare Jewi has urged the delegation to return and make another visit.
Yagbonwura reportedly informed the delegation that he will be visiting Mampurugu Kingdom on July 28.
3 News also reported The delegation was led by Minister of Defence Dominic Nitiwul and was also attended by Minister of Emirati Affairs Stephen Asamoah Boateng.

Jinapor has denied the charges levelled against him in the case.

Yagbonwura said any paramount chief of Gonja who invites Senator Damongo to court will face sanctions.
Some West Gonja chiefs accused the minister of meddling in chieftaincy matters.
Youth groups in Gonja have also accused him of disrespecting Yagbonwura and undermining his authority.
The group believes that if Jinapor continues on his current path, his actions could jeopardise peace and unity in Gonjaland.
This prompted the formation of a seven-member government delegation which visited the Ndeura Sumari Jakpa Palace to plead for Mr Jinapor.
